I came across an old news story with a ton of new information. What the heck is wrong with journalism today?? Unless it's always been like this.
Remember the story about the kids that hung a noose over a tree branch to ward off other kids from an area that they hung out. Right... you remember white kids trying to keep out black kids... Then the reaction from the black kids supposidly was that they beat this kid (8-1) nearly to death. That's how I heard it at least.
Want to hear the whole story ?!!!? This is crazy ! The beating had nothing to do with the nooses and the nooses had nothing to do with the kids that happened to be black.
Anything to keep racism alive, right ?!?!? If it wasn't alive Sharpy wouldn't have a job.

I'm mad !! The TV told me to be !!

Hi Scott~
Wow, unfortunately, this is a great example of the poison that slimy journalism can sling as it distorts the pallor of truth! As wonderful as "freedom of speech" is in educating and bringing awareness, it is this exact exaggeration and misinformation that can be truly lethal and bring-out the extreme bleeding hearts.
This is an outrage, however, I am glad that there are journalists like Buchanan to bring out key elements of a story, which paints a very different picture of the actual events. It is so damned easy to point a finger and turn every drama into a one-sided issue. And we wonder why the world is still in such upheaval and filled with hate? We have much to learn about tolerance too!
"A week ago, 6-foot, 6-inch Purvis, who had transferred to Hebron High in Carrollton, Texas, was charged with assault, choking a student and ramming his head into a bench.
And that's the Saga of The Jena Six. It belongs right up there with the Rev. Al's other classics: Tawana Brawley and the Duke rape case."
Kind of says it all, don't you think?
